"Cobb County and the state of Georgia have lost one of its favorite sons. He will be sorely missed."

- Major Mark McDonough, Commanding Officer of the Georgia State Patrol Field Operations

Corporal Chadwick LeCroy of Marietta was a trooper with the Georgia State Patrol.  He was shot and killed on the night of December 27, 2010 while attempting to stop a vehicle with a broken headlight on Bolton Road in Atlanta.  Following a chase, the suspect opened fire as LeCroy approached the vehicle from the passenger side.  The driver was arrested a short time later by members of the Atlanta Police Department.

Corporal LeCroy was posthumously promoted to the rank of Corporal from Trooper First Class and is survived by his wife, Keisha, and two sons, Bret and Chase.  Through the donations of our members, the 300 Club of Atlanta was able to offer assistance to the family during this difficult time.
